The predecessor to today’s GIFs and stop motion videos? The good ol’ illustration flip book!

This is a very rare new unused deadstock cartoon flip book from China. It features a bootleg Mickey Mouse and the Chinese title reads simply Mickey Mouse. It is most likely from the 1960s or 1970s. The paper is a very thin type that is typical of that era. There are many pages showing Mickey Mouse in various stages of movement so that when you flip the book, it looks like he’s walking or tripping or tumbling over.

Please note that this was sealed until I removed the plastic wrapper for photography. It has never been played with.

As this is a very vintage paper product, please expect some signs of wear and tear, including creases, discolouration, yellowing, dirt marks and so on. But as you can see, it is in very pristine condition for its age. Please look at all photos carefully.
