This is a vintage kitschy handmade shell art piece most likely from the 1980s or 1990s. It is a figural piece of a basket holding a pair of love birds. One of the birds has a bright pink “beak” and it’s looking affectionately at its partner (which does not have a beak).

There are some weird little touches too, like a colored red shell on the top of the basket handle, a sprig of plastic plant and a red shell "dish" in front of the birds.

This is generally very clean and almost "new"! Just spotted some glue threads hanging here and there, though any flaws on the shells themselves would be hard to spot and could be part of the natural shell texture.

Measures about 13cm tall by 10cm wide (at the widest point).
